The Center for Studies in Democracy and Electoral Affairs – CEDAE is the group in charge of carrying out research and training processes to improve the development of the mission functions of the National Civil Registry. According to Resolution 11424 of 2014, the CEDAE has an “academic and technical character, so that it permanently provides the Electoral Organization’s employees, the personnel who intervene permanently or temporarily in the course of its processes and the general public with training and education in electoral issues, identification of civic culture and democracy. Likewise, the Center will intensify and encourage research and analysis on issues related to the government, electoral and political party system, and will promote the dissemination of its studies and work.”
