FND

The National Federation of Departments - FND (formerly known as the National Governors' Conference Corporation) was created in 1994, during the VIII General Summit of Regional Governors held in the city of Popayán.

The new political-administrative scenario of the country, especially characterized by the decentralization process and the profound changes promoted by the 1991 Constitution, evidenced the need to create an entity that would represent the departments in matters of common interest before the different instances of the State, with the objective of working in the defense and strengthening of these territorial entities as strategic and essential pieces that make up the Nation.

We are the entity that integrates, strengthens and represents the departments before the State, the private sector and international organizations in order to promote the development of Colombia's regions.
