The information system and Cultural Map of Sucre is a commitment of the Government of Sucre, the Productivity and Innovation Strategy EPI and the Mixed Fund for the Promotion of Culture and the Arts, aimed at making visible and strengthening Sucre's cultural sector. This platform has been built in a collective and participatory manner, generating a dialogue and weaving shared responsibilities between citizens and the State.
The Map is a proposal of knowledge about the culture and heritage of the department, which arises as a result of the implementation of a territorial impact strategy to strengthen the cultural system of its 5 sub-regions: Mojana, Gulf of Morrosquillo, Sabanas, San Jorge and Montes de María. In this way we have consolidated the first structure of a Cultural Information System for Sucre, which makes visible the creative vocation of its 26 municipalities; and promotes the enhancement of its culture and the safeguarding of its heritage.
The team of the Mixed Fund for the Promotion of Culture and the Arts of Sucre, in agreement with the ACUA Foundation and Datasketch, held meetings between cultural actors, managers and creators in 15 host municipalities, attended by 11 visiting municipalities, thus achieving a departmental scope.
