Minería Visible

Visible Mining is the platform selected in the call “Mining Data in Action: Building Trust and Transparency” of the From Disclosure to Development (D2D) program of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in collaboration with the Transparency and Accountability Initiative (TAI), with the support of the BHP Foundation. The call sought to support innovative ideas in Colombia that contribute to strengthening transparency and improving accountability of mining royalty resources through the effective use of data and information. Between 2022 and 2024, Visible Mining was created by Datasketch with the support of IFC's D2D program. IFC is an international organization created by the Articles of Agreement among its member countries and is a member of the World Bank Group.

Datasketch is a social technology company that promotes the responsible use of information technology and data to foster social development. We design and implement data-driven interventions and projects to improve evidence-based decision-making processes. The administration, content and management of the platform is exclusively the responsibility of Datasketch. Datasketch administers, manages and operates Visible Mining.
