Segur@s en línea is a project with a gender perspective to make data visible and contribute collectively in the search for solutions to digital gender violence in Central America and the Dominican Republic. It's not your fault. You don't deserve it. You are not alone.
The violence that has historically affected women and LGBTIQ+ people is also present in the digital space. Segur@s en línea arises to make visible in Central America and the Dominican Republic a problem that must be named: digital gender violence.
With the initial support of Lacnic's FRIDA Program, Segur@s en línea addresses two issues in its first stage:
There is not enough data on digital violence. This limits the design of comprehensive public policies, which is why an anonymous survey was conducted to gather information.
Preventive and educational efforts are needed, through different formats and media, to provide people with the tools to empower themselves and make preventive and informed decisions, but also to enable victims of digital violence to identify when they are in a situation of vulnerability and how to address it, which is why a communication campaign and the launch of the online platform Segur@s en línea were carried out.
